If you are looking for seclusion and serenity, Bay Bluff Cottage is for you. An architect's dream - the cottage is perched a top a high bluff overlooking Eel Bay on Nova Scotia's South Shore. Designed by architect Brian MacKay-Lyons the cottage won the Lieutenant Governor's Award of Merit in 1992 for its unique Maritime inspired design.

Bay Bluff has an open concept design, with floor to ceiling sliding patio doors along the two ocean facing walls.
The doors open up to allow a refreshing breeze and the scent of the sea to permeate the cottage.

There is a large wood fireplace in the living room – perfect for those romantic evenings. Two sliding patio doors open to a large covered deck, blurring the lines between inside and outside living.

Located on the ground floor, the master bedroom has a queen size bed and floor to ceiling windows. What better way to wake up than to the spectacular view of a cobalt blue bay dotted with small shimmering islands! A four-piece washroom is also located on the ground floor. Upstairs is a loft bedroom with two single beds and a balcony overlooking the bay.

Rental Amenities:

The cottage comes with a fully equipped kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave and coffee maker). All bedroom and bathroom linens are provided.

There is a TV / VCR and a tape deck complete with an interesting collection of 1940's music. Outside there is a Propane BBQ grill and outdoor furniture.

There is also a 2-person kayak for use.

Bay Bluff cottage is nicely situated to explore the South Shore. Yarmouth and the Cat Ferry are about an hour away; the UNESCO town of Lunenburg is about an hour and three quarters and Halifax, Nova Scotia's Capital is just 2.5 hours away. The airport is located just outside Halifax.
